Mama Vox Box from Influenster

*The products in this post were provided
free for review from Influenster

Hey everyone, I'm back from a long absence with a couple of reviews from my Mama Vox Box from Influenster! This was a fantastic box this round, not a single item I wouldn't use!

The first product I used from this box was Pond's Luminous Finish BB+. Influenster and Pond's were so kind to send this product in both Light and Medium. Medium was too dark for me, so I gave it to my mother whose skin has kept its summer tan better than I have.

Here we have swatches of both the light and medium, they look dark, but as you can see, they blend well into the skin.

At first I didn't get what the fuss was about, Pond's Luminous Finish BB+ seemed like your run of the mill tinted moisturizer, but after two weeks, I think I'm in love with this product. It doesn't feel dry or make my skin feel tight, while also not feeling oily. It has a nice matte finish, and, while it's not a full coverage foundation. I've decided I actually prefer the more natural look of this product. My only wish is that I had received this in the summer rather than the fall, when I needed less coverage. Alas, that was not meant to be, but I will definitely be searching out Pond's Luminous Finish BB+ next summer.

The next item I chose to try from my Influenster Mama Vox Box was the Dr Scholls For Her Comfort Insoles, and I had just the excuse to try them!

Do you see these? These are my favorite shoes, and as you can see, they are well loved. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find comfortable flats in a size 11 that don't cost a fortune? Anyway, these shoes are starting to become less than comfortable, but I needed them for a night out dancing, so in went the Dr Scholls For Her Comfort Insoles. By the end of the night, my heels felt great! Not sore at all. Unfortunately, the balls of my feet were still sore, but considering these insoles fit size 6-10, and I wear an 11, the balls of my feet did not sit in the right spot for the insoles to work. Oh well. If these come in a size 11, I'm buying a set for every pair of shoes I own.

That's it for today. I hope you all have enjoyed my reviews, and I'll see you next time!

The NEW Influenster site

I know many of you are familiar with Influenster and VoxBoxes. I've reviewed some products from them here on this blog, they are a wonderful program where you sign up and take demographic surveys, if you fit the demographics they are looking for, you could be qualified to received themed "VoxBoxes". In these VoxBoxes youwill receive full size and sample sized products to test out and review. All Influenster asks in return for these free products is for you to review them and take their survey at the end. Easy! I loved my Naturals VoxBox and hope to qualify for other boxes in the future.

Now, since I've received my VoxBox, Influester changed their whole website, and wow, the difference is amazing! The look, the feel, the ability to easily navigate is fantastic.

What is not fantastic is how buggy the system is. My information has been lost multiple times. I had to submit my review survey twice, submit my VoxBox Pinterest board 3 or 4 times, and re-review multiple products because they lost my info. This is very frustrating, not only because it's a hassle to have to do the same things over and over again, but also because completing these tasks is very important if you want to receive boxes in the future. And I DO want to receive more boxes in the future!

Regardless of this rant of a blog post, I do love Influenster, and as I said, I hope to receive more boxes in the future. I also hope they fix the bugs to their system.

Want yummy cuticles?

I honestly don't know why it took me so long to get Lush's Lemony Flutter. Actually, yes, I do. I stammered at the notion of spending $14 on cuticle cream, so instead I spent $15 on 3 $5 cuticle products that didn't work at all. My advice is to skip the crummy creams and go straight for the one that works!

Let me preface by saying that my cuticles are in sorry shape. I have a slight (okay, major) nail polish obsession and I change my manicure every day after the kids go to bed. All the acetone really dries out my cuticles!

So, here it is, the magic cure for cuticles:

This is Lemony Flutter by Lush. A handmade, FRESH (mine was made August 8, 2012, according to the sticker on the bottom), natural cuticle butter, and oh my, it is wonderful! So soft and smells delicious - seriously lemony! It IS a bit greasy, so I put it on before bed.

Now for the value. Yes, it is $14 for cuticle cream, but look at how much you get!

This is 1.5 oz of Lemony Flutter compared to the 0.4 oz of Sally Hansen's Cuticle Cream, so it's actually CHEAPER per oz!

Lush also has lots of other fun, yummy products, so if there is a store near you, I highly recommend going in, but if not, Lemony Flutter is available on their website.

The Original™ Dish Drying Mat

Today I want to talk about an amazing product called The Original™ Dish Drying Mat. Crazy how something so simple could completely change my dish washing routine! I use this every day. In fact, I now have two of them. We have a lot of people in the house, and we use the dishwasher for dishes, but knives, pots, pans, cutting board, the high chair tray, wine glasses - all hand washed, and after washing, where do they go? That's right, the The Original™ Dish Drying Mat!

This is a thick foam piece inside microfiber, which allows it to hold 4 times it's weight in water! Just stack your dishes on the mat and walk away. That's all! When done with the dishes, just let the mat air dry - I've found it dries faster if you hang it by the loop than just leaving it on the counter - then it folds up for easy storage! If your mat gets a little funky, just pop it in the washer and dryer. Voila! Easy!

Here's a picture of it in action:

Check out their website here for more info. The Original™ Dish Drying Mat is available at Bed Bath & Beyond for only $4.99.

CleanWell Natural Hand Sanitizer Wipes

Let me tell you, I love theses CleanWell Natural Hand Sanitizer Wipes! Perfect for the diaper bag! As the name suggests, this is a NATURAL hand sanitizer wipe, and am on a mission to get myself more. I'm sorry I don't have a picture for you, but you can check them out at their website here .

First of all, these wipes smell AMAZING! Not astringent and chemical-y at all. They come in Orange Vanilla and Original (what I had) which is an herbal/citrus scent. Second, they do not dry out your skin the way most hand sanitizers do, and they DO NOT STING when you have cuts! And best of all, they are NATURAL, so I feel good about using them on my kids!

CleanWell Natural Hand Sanitizer Wipes are available online on their website, Diapers.com, Whole Foods, and more. See their website here for details!

LypSyl Intense Protection LypMoisturizer

My first review is of LypSyl Intense Protection LypMoisturizer. I received this product in my Naturals VoxBox, and let me tell you, I am hooked! This is so addicting, I carry it everywhere. It is described on their website as:

"Created with pure Swedish beeswax, organic shea butter and vitamins A and E for    long-lasting, deep-penetrating moisture and lip care protection. LypSyl Intense Protection LypMoisturizer™ helps moisturize, soften and protect your lips naturally" source

This lip balm is ultra moisturizing and ultra refreshing, it's mint flavor is not overwhelming. My mother, who cannot use other brands of minty bees wax balms because of the "burn" of the mint, can use this product without discomfort. And, me, I have been addicted to lip balm for years, and apply constantly, this balm lasts me for hours without needing to be reapplied -the mint scent dissipates, but the moisturized feeling lingers. The tube? lasts and lasts! I have been using this obsessively for a month now, and have barely dented the amount in the tube! I'm going to get myself another tube of this! One for the diaper bag and one for my night stand :)

Lypsyl retails for about $2.99 at various drugstores, Target, Walmart... check out their webpage here and try it for yourself, I don't think you'll be disappointed
